Visakhapatnam: After a long gap, Simhachalam temple opened its doors on Monday. However, darshan of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy will be available for common people from Wednesday onwards.

On Monday, a trial run was held at the temple following safety protocols amid coronavirus pandemic. Employees were screened for temperature while entering the queue.

The darshan was confined to only employees on the day one of the trial run. The list of do's and don'ts was kept apparent at the queue line for the devotees.

ircles were drawn to follow social distancing while having darshan at the shrine. Hand wash facility was arranged at the queue lines.

About 300 employees had darshan till 11.30 a.m. As part of the second day trial run villagers will be allowed inside the shrine, said Executive Officer of the Devasthanam M. Venkateswara Rao.
