Tributes paid to bishop John in Eluru
MLC Ramu Suryarao has said bishop John Mulagada will be a role model for future generations because of his services to the poor.
Eluru: MLC Ramu Suryarao has said bishop John Mulagada will be a role model for future generations because of his services to the poor. He paid floral tributes to the bishop by garlanding his statue to mark his 10th death anniversary.
He said bishop John had brought awareness on health, education and other fields by extending his valuable services to people in both Godavari districts for 33 years. Father G Moses said that besides setting up dental college at Duggirala, the bishop provided education to rural youth by establishing 25 English medium schools.
To his credit he constructed houses to 1,000 coastal families in 2009 apart from his services to the flood-affected during his lifetime. Fr Bala, Fr Abraham and others were present.
