Visakhapatnam: The roll out of Regional Office, Visakhapatnam, Union Bank of India has been inaugurated by Ajay Kumar, Regional head, Visakhapatnam. On the occasion, the regional head has unveiled the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

He also paid tributes to Father of the nation and legendary founders of three amalgamated banks, Seth Seetharamji Kisonddayal Poddar (Union Bank Of India), Bhogaraju Pattabhi Seetarammayya (Andhra Bank) and Khan Bahadur Haji Abdullah Haji Kasim Saheb Bahadur (Corporation Bank).

After the amalgamation with Corporation bank, Andhra Bank from April 1, 2020, the amalgamated entity has become the fourth largest bank in terms of branch network and fifth largest in terms of business. Now, Union bank of India has around 9,500 branches after the amalgamation. We are so proud to say that now we have 75,000+ staff members in our bank. Now, Visakhapatnam Region's business is Rs 20,395 crores in which Rs 10,926 crore deposits and advances of Rs 9,468 crore. Visakhapatnam region serves the customers with a total of 117 branches, two Union Loan Points, one SARAL, one Union Samvruddhi Kendra and 140 ATMs approximately.

Regional Head, in his address stated that RO, Visakhapatnam, will show a 20 per cent of growth for the financial year 2020-21. Srinivas Shetty, Field General Manager, Sinivasa Madhu, Deputy Zonal Head have also graced the occasion. All the staff members of RO, local branch managers, union leaders have also participated on this occasion. The roll out programmes has been concluded with a vote of thanks by Raja Ratnam, CM(P&D).
