Use natural resources for mobilising revenue: Dharmana
The district lagged in all spheres due to lack of proper use of natural resources, stated Minister for Roads and Buildings Dharmana Krishna Das. He arrived in Srikakulam on Wednesday after assuming charge as minister and received a grand welcome from party leaders and officials.

Interacting with the media at YSRCP district office here, the minister said that the district has good natural resources like long sea coast, rivers, fertile lands but due to improper use of these resources, the district lags in development.
He said the government would use the existing natural resources properly for mobilizing revenues.
He promised to complete irrigation projects like Vamsadhara and off-shore reservoirs and added the Uddanam area, which is affected by kidney diseases need proper medical facilities. Stating that the YSRCP government committed to the welfare of poor, farmers, women and employees, he said Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has enhanced salaries of employees and increased pension scheme amount to beneficiaries as part of election manifesto mentioned in Navaratnalu.
YSRCP district president Dr K Kruparani, Rajam MLA K Jogulu, Zilla Parishat former chairman Y V Suryanarayana and party leaders participated in the programme.
