Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu felicitates TTD Asthana Vidwan
Tirupati: The Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu has felicitated TTD Asthana Vidwan G Balakrishna Prasad and former Director of Annamacharya Project Dr Medasani Mohan in Tirupati on Monday.
Venkaiah instructed officials to invite them to Sri Padmavati Guest House by the time he reaches there from National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) at Gadanki near Tirupati. He used to felicitate the eminent scholars in literary and cultural fields during his visits to various places.
Balakrishna Prasad is known for his contributions in propagating divine music of Annamacharya. He composed hundreds of Annamacharya Keerthanas and sung them with his melodious voice.
TTD has appointed him as Asthana Vidwan in 2012. He is also working in the same capacity even at Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. Dr Medasani Mohan is known Pancha Sahasravadhani. He penned several literary and religious books. Vice President spent some time with both the scholars and enquired about their contributions in their fields.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday evening reached Tirupati. On his arrival at Sri Padmavathi Guest House, the Vice-President was accorded warm welcome by TTD EO AK Singhal. District Collector Pradyumna, Reception Official Ramurthy Reddy and others were present.
