Vijayawada: Krishna Express flagged off with all women crew
Vijayawada division of the South Central Railway
Vijayawada: As part of International Women's Day celebrations from March 1 to 10 with the theme of 'Each for Equal', Vijayawada division of the South Central Railway, Public Relations Officer Nusrat M Mandrupkar, Sunaina, Station Master (On duty) and Sk Najma, pointswoman, jointly flagged off the first-ever all-women crew train-Krishna Express on Friday from Vijayawada to Tirupati. The entire crew of the train right from the loco pilot, the guard, the sleeper TTEs, squad TTEs and RPF was women in addition to on-duty pointsman & SM.
P Srinivas, divisional railway manager (DRM) congratulated the all women crew of the train for accomplishing such a rare feat. He also said that it is a proud moment for Vijayawada division.
