Vijayawada: Thanking Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for keeping his promise and establishing Arya Vysya Welfare Development Corporation, Arya Vysya Mahasabha Vijayawada unit president Konakalla Vidyadhara Rao said that the Vysya community would be grateful to the Chief Minister forever.

Addressing newsmen at the Arya Vysya Bhavan here on Thursday, he said that the previous government has allotted only Rs 30 crore for the Arya Vysya Corporation while the Chief Minister promised Rs 100 crore for the corporation.

He also thanked the Chief Minister for appointing Kuppam Prasad as the chairman of the corporation. He said that Prasad would take oath as the chairman of the corporation on February 16 at Kshetraiah Kalakshetram which would be attended by the ministers Velampalli Srinivasa Rao, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, and other leaders.

Later, Kuppam Prasad said that he was happy that he was appointed chairman of the Corporation. He said that he would strive for the development of the Vysya community.

Pallapotu Muralikrishna, Gontla Rammohan Rao, Anumula Lakshmana Rao, GDV Prasad Rao, Annam Ramakrishna, Repala Nageswara Rao, Mittinti Sarada, Pandiri Subrahmanyam, Boddu Srinivasa Rao, Kotta Mukteshwara Rao and others were present.
