Visakhapatnam: Tourism Minister M. Srinivasa Rao said people can now attend to their duties from 10 am to 5 pm Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, the Minister said the government is taking all steps to prevent trouble for the public due to the lockdown.

Coronavirus task force committee meeting was conducted focusing on Covid-19 prevention measures. "Of the 82 positive cases, 56 were discharged and 25 are getting treated in the hospitals," the Minister stated.

He said hospitals have enough beds to meet any increase in corona cases. The Minister said 59 lakh masks were distributed to people so far. "Initially, 31 containment zones were marked. Of them, only 25 are continuing to be containment zones. Anakapalle, Bheemunipatnam and Madhurawada have become Green Zones after the completion of the survey for four times by ward volunteers. However, strict rules are being implemented in containment zones,"

The meeting was attended by Commissioner of GVMC G Srijana, District Collector V Vinay Chand, among others.
