Visakhapatnam: YSRC leader Koyya Prasad Reddy has said that the TDP has launched yet again a false media campaign based on former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's recent visit to Visakhapatnam.

Speaking to the reporters here on Sunday, he said Naidu had spoken ill of North Andhra people before embarking on his tour to Vizag for which people had gathered in large numbers at the airport to express their resentment to him.

However, Prasad Reddy said Naidu and his 'paid media' had called the agitating public as people from Kadapa and Pulivendula and also insulted them as paid artistes which led to escalation of tension. "Why did he (Naidu) resort to such a drama deliberately by arriving in the city with his family members? Is it not to escalate tension?" he asked.

Further, the YSRC leader said the people did not support Naidu's visit as he openly opposed the establishment of executive capital in Visakhapatnam. "Even the TDP leaders Ganta Srinivasa Rao and P G V R Naidu (Gana Babu) did not come to the airport which indicated that the TDP is losing support," he pointed out.

He recalled that Naidu and his party members had criticised Sabbam Hari as 'Gunda' several times in the past. "Similarly, the institution run by TDP MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar is known for malpractices. Former MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy and his son were involved in land scams. Now, the TDP is blaming that the YSRC is involved in land-grabbing when the government is keen on uplifting the poor through housing scheme. Irrespective of their false campaign, people will always support YSRC and not fall prey to the TDP's evil designs," he mentioned.
