Korukonda (Vizianagaram): The investiture ceremony was held at Sainik School at Korukonda in Vizianagaram district in a grand manner. Keeping the Covid-19 norms in view, the ceremony was streamed online to facilitate the participation of all cadets from home.

Principal Colonel Arun M Kulkarni conferred rank badges on Cadet Appointments based on past achievements and capabilities to don leadership roles in their respective houses and classes.

The investiture ceremony is held every year to confer rank badges on the selected school appointments, who are hand-picked with an aim to develop certain leadership qualities. Principal conferred the epaulettes on the shoulders of the cadets for the year 2020-21 thus entrusting in them various responsibilities.

The Principal encouraged the cadets to discharge their duties with honesty, integrity and sincerity. He emphasised that firmness and fairness are the two most important guiding principles of any appointment.

As a part of the function, the most coveted Principal's Banner for Champion House, prestigious NDA Trophy for sending maximum number of cadets to NDA and other trophies were handed over by the chief guest. Wing Commander C S Bhanuprakash, Vice-Principal administered oath to the cadets and Capt N Senthil Kumar, Head of the Department of Mathematics, conducted the proceedings.

The students who passed written exam and waiting for interview are staying at school and they are conferred their badges in person, rest of the students have viewed the programme through online and they were conferred the badges online.
