Walk for environment, peace organised in Vijayawada
Hundreds of walkers participated in a Mega Walk organised by Patamata Zilla Parishad Walkers Association here on Monday.
Vijayawada: Hundreds of walkers participated in a Mega Walk organised by Patamata Zilla Parishad Walkers Association here on Monday.
The walk was organised to stress on need to safeguard environment and world peace. The walk started at Patamata High School and reached Durga Temple.
Speaking on the occasion, walker's association president K Rammohana Rao said that they organised the walk to create awareness among people to safeguard the environment by planting trees and walk daily for good health.
The walkers displayed placards during the mega walk for world peace.
After reaching the temple, they had darshan of the goddess.
Association secretary L Nageswara Rao, Treasurer Venkateswara Reddy, P Ajay, T Lakshmi, Shobarani, Rajagopal and others participated in the mega walk.
