Vijayawada: With the continuous heavy rains, the water levels are rising at Prakasam barrage in Vijayawada. The current water level in the barrage reached 11.4 feet. In the context, the officials have released 5,200 cu secs of water to the canals in the Krishna Delta.

About 3,800 cu secs of water released to the Krishna Eastern canal. Nearly 1,200 cu secs to the Western main canal, 200 cu secs for Guntur channel, 2,000 cu secs from Krishna's eastern main canal to Ryves canal. The authorities have released 700 cu secs for Bandar canal, 500 cu secs for KEB canal, and 600 cu secs for Eluru canal for the purpose of irrigation.
