Water release from Prakasam barrage
The AP government has released the water to East Delta canals from Prakasam barrage. In the midsts of the mantras of Veda pundits, special puja was performed to Krishnamma.

As per the Muhurtham, the water was released at 9.47 am. Ministers Anil Kumar Yadav, Perni Nani, Kodali Nani, Velampalli Srinivasa Rao, MLAs Malladi Vishnu, Jogi Ramesh, Simhadri Ramesh Babu and Irrigation officials Anil Kumar were also present.
The officials said that the water release has been delayed due to rainy conditions, and delay in water supply from river Godavari. The water requirement for the Kharif season will be released in portions.
Today, the water is released to the KE canal. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered to provide the water till the last lands. After the ten days, the water will be released to Guntur and Prakasam districts.
