Will VVL benifit from cross-voting?

Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena Visakhapatnam MP candidate V V Lakshminarayana seems to be upset with the election results anticipated either by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) or by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Just a week before the election, no one would have expected that this former CBI Joint-Director would influence the vote bank of Visakhapatnam.
After the post-poll analysis, rumours are being spread that there is a big cross-voting from both YSRCP and TDP favouring Lakshminarayana. Lakshminarayana, after probing into Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's cases in his capacity as Joint Director got name and fame and his candidature connected to the educated youth particularly in the employees and youth.
After his entry into JSP and contesting as MP from Visakhapatnam, he became one of the key contestants in the segment. In the initial days after filing his nomination from Visakhapatnam, Lakshminarayana was targeted by TDP and YSRCP as he was not a local candidate. But the voters were unaffected by these allegations as many people residing in the city are from different parts of the State.
According to polling booth agents of YSRCP and TDP, the voters who cast their votes in favour of YSRCP and TDP in Assembly elections, cast their vote for glass for parliamentary segment. Meanwhile, the voting percentage was also increased as a large number of youth cast their vote to JSP, which is also fetching to the Lakshminarayana's winning chances.
The TDP leaders are also analysing the cross-voting reported in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam North, East, South and Bheemili segments. However, the key leaders of TDP and YSRCP denying the cross-voting. Though Lakshminarayana has good name as CBI officer, he is not emerged as a politician in the present political system.
"There is no chance of cross-voting. The 2019 general elections held between N Chandrababu Naidu and Y S Jaganmohan Reddy only. There is no political vacuum and voters have already decided and given a clear mandate. With Pawan Kalyan charisma only Lakshminarayana may get majority of votes. The fight was between the TDP and YSRCP only," said V V Ramana Rao, a political analyst.
