YS Jagan disburses Jagananna Videshi Deevena, assured govt. Support to them

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy deposited the money into the accounts of the 213 beneficiaries under Jagananna Videshi Deevena who got the admission in foreign universities.

Speaking on this occasion, CM YS Jagan said that the scheme brought in by the government is a historic one in the state. "We have started another good program giving opportunity to poor students from SC, ST, BC Minority and othe castes to study in top universities in the world, YS Jagan said adding that the poverty should not hinder the education of the poor as the wealth we give to children is education. He said government is providing assistance of Rs.19.95 crores to them as the first installment.
YS Jagan said that the idea came from the desire to change the situation with sincerity and assured students that the government will be with them. He said that ST, SC, BC, Minority students we are providing maximum assistance of Rs.1.25 crore and for remaining students upto Rs. 1 crore.
