HealthNet Global Limited (HNG), owned by Apollo Hospital Group, on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) to deliver virtual second opinion consultations.

Hyderabad: HealthNet Global Limited (HNG), owned by Apollo Hospital Group, on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) to deliver virtual second opinion consultations.

Under this partnership, AAPI members will deliver free virtual consultations to the rural population of India, where HNG has its presence.

Besides, in the next 90 days a mobile application, Ask Apollo, will be launched to provide paid tele medicine consultation from AAPI members to the listed patients, looking for second opinion for any given health condition.

Dr Sangita Reddy, Jt Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group, said: "As part of our collaboration, HNG will connect AAPI members with the rural population through Medeintegra - our flagship telemedicine platform.

Also, through our Ask Apollo platform, people across the country will be able to access the profiles of all the AAPI physicians to seek consultations."
