Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film SitareZameen Par, which is scheduled to hit theatres on June 20. As part of his promotional activities, Aamir recently revealed a heartwarming detail—his 90-year-old mother, Zeenat Hussain, is making her acting debut with this film.

During a promotional interview, Aamir shared that his mother had once expressed a desire to visit the film's sets. She eventually made a visit while the team was shooting a celebratory number titled Happy Wedding. On seeing her on set, director RS Prasanna approached Aamir with a special request.

“Sir, if you don’t mind, can you please ask Ammi ji to be in the shot? It’s the last song of the film and a celebratory wedding scene. She can easily be part of the guests. Please, it will be an emotional moment for me, and I want her to be a part of this film,” Prasanna told Aamir.

Initially hesitant, Aamir believed his mother would refuse, as she generally dislikes being in the spotlight. But to his surprise, when he asked her, she immediately agreed. Zeenat Hussain will now appear in a couple of shots in the song, marking her first-ever on-screen appearance.

Adding to the family involvement, Aamir’s sister Nikhat Khan also has a role in the film. SitareZameen Par stars Genelia Deshmukh as the female lead, alongside a talented ensemble including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharma, NamanMisra, and others. The film promises to be a touching cinematic experience with a personal touch from Aamir's own family.
