Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainments dropped the first look of the title track, which features Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The title track is crooned by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. The song, according to the first look, will feature Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.
Kalank is an upcoming period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. It stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt.
The film is set in the 1940s; it also marks the first collaboration of Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
In his earlier interviews, Karan Johar said, "The film has been an emotional journey for me. It is a gem of an idea that I had nearly 15 years ago and a film that was in a pre-production stage helmed by my father. I am now proud to pass it onto the extremely capable and visionary hands of director Abhishek Varman"
The film is scheduled for release on 17 April 2019.
