Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2 Digital Release: Alia Bhatt Movie Sold To OTT
Maverick filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's most awaited movie Sadak 2 featuring Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt has been sold to a OTT platform for a whopping amount.
Maverick filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's most awaited movie Sadak 2 featuring Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt has been sold to a OTT platform for a whopping amount. As per original plan, Sadak 2 was to hit theatres on July 10. However, considering the pandemic situation because of which the opening of theatres is still doubtful, producer Mukesh Bhatt has decided to go in for digital release.
Saying that life is more important than movies and people have to protect their families, Bhatt said they had no choice but to opt for OTT release.
sadak 2 is bankrolled by Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films and a sequel to the Dutt-Pooja movie released in 1991.
After Amitabh Bachchan's Gulabo Sitabo, Sushant's Dil Bechara and Vidya Balan's Shakuntala Devi, Mukesh Bhatt's Sadak 2 is the latest movie to opt for digital release.
"I am compelled to come (on digital platform) because I don't see any light in the near future. This is the best I can do to survive. There are certain things that you do, not out of choice but out of compulsion. This is the only option left. It is a no-brainer," said Mukesh Bhatt.
