Bollywood's ace actor Vicky Kaushal is all busy with a handful of movies post his marriage with Katrina Kaif. He is in the best phase of his career and is enjoying married life too. Earlier, he announced his new movie Sam Bahadur which is the biopic of Sam Bahadur who was the first Field Marshal. Off late, he dropped a new post and stated that he has begun his prep for this movie.

Even Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra are essaying important roles in this movie and they will be seen as Indira Gandhi and Siloo Manekshaw. Well, Sam Bahadur aka Sam Manekshaw was the first Indian Army officer who was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and he was also chief of the Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971.
Speaking about the movie Vicky said, "I had always heard stories about Sam Bahadur from my parents who hail from Punjab and have seen the 1971 war but when I read the script I was completely blown away. He is a hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved to this day and capturing his spirit in the film is of the highest importance to me."
Meghana Gulzar also said, "He was a soldier's soldier and a gentleman's gentleman. They don't make men like Sam Bahadur anymore. I'm so honoured to be telling his story with Ronnie Screwvala and the incredibly talented Vicky Kaushal. On the Field Marshal's birth anniversary, his story has got its name. I couldn't be happier."
Earlier a source revealed that, "Fatima has been reading a number of books on Indira Gandhi to understand her better and get an idea of her regime as the Prime Minister. She also has got her hands on various documentaries to get the nuances and mannerisms of her character right. It is a responsible role and Fatima wants to do full justice to it."
Even Sanya Malhotra who is the lead actress of this movie said, "Behind every successful man is a strong independent woman who supports him in all his endeavours. It's with great honour that I get to play one such woman, Silloo Manekshaw, the wife of India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
