AIADMK has been looking at Vijay as a threat from long time, ever since, he made clear that he has political affiliation and he is anti-establishment. He made it clear in his films as well.
Even in Bigil there are scenes that address this and in Mersal, he directly went against BJP, in Kaththi, he went against privatisation policy. So, with him trying hard to send a message to people that they should think off him as their future leader, political parties seem to be not in support of that idea.
They create problems prior to the release of his films and now, he faced IT raids too. His financier Anbu Cheziyan was found guilty of hiding 65 crores and many documents have been seized from his properties that amount to Rs. 300 crores.
IT raids were conducted after AGS Entertainments said that their film, Bigil made more than 300 crores and Vijay's remuneration is more than 75 crores for the film. Right from Seeman, Naam Tamilar party leader to Puducherry Chief Minister, everyone described the IT raids has government way to put pressure on actors to listen to them and "fall-in-line".
Vijay did not react on the IT raids and continued to shoot for his film, Master from Friday. The movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is looking for May release.
