Kollywood filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj is one of the most talented directors in the industry. He is awaiting the release of his next movie Jaagame Thandhiram. And guess what? Remember there was speculation that Karthik will be collaborating with Chiyaan Vikram for his next? So, now it appears that all the rumours surrounding the hype were true after all. Seven Screen Studio which will be bankrolling the movie, made the announcement in a tweet stating the same. Here's the tweet put out by the production house.

Yes. Karthik Subbaraj has joined hands with Kollywood actor Chiyaan Vikram for the first time. This will be the actor's 60th movie and the working title is Chiyaan60. That's not it. The movie will be special for Vikram too as Karthik Subbaraj' Chiyaan60 will also star the actor's son Dhruv Vikram. The father-son duo will share screen space in the movie.

Chiyaan60 is said to be a gangster drama in which Dhruv will play Vikram's younger version. Chiyaan Vikram will play a gangster in the movie. Karthik has readied the script as per reports and waiting for the pandemic fears to ease up before taking the movie to the sets.

Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming movie Jagame Thandhiram features Dhanush and Aishwarya Lekshmi as lead actors. The film was to hit theatres on May 1 but was postponed due to the lockdown. The movie will release soon as things get back to normalcy and fans can't wait for the movie to unfold on the big screen.
