Vijay says no to birthday celebrations

Though the star himself may deny it, the non-release of 'Master' in April owing to the pandemic has created enough pressure points for everyone involved. The restive fans have been waiting and watching every move made by the production house, hoping that there would be a firm schedule announced about the film's release. They have also been critical of the crew making any announcement on the film as it gives fodder to the rival camps, who are happy to see the Vijay fans feel disappointed and agitated.

From a possible OTT release, a Diwali release etc there have been many speculations about the fate of the film. In the meanwhile, an alert Vijay has reportedly announced in the Tamil media that owing to the acute distress caused by the coronavirus pandemic, he is requesting his fans not to undertake any celebrations on June 22, his birthday. It's politically a correct move too, say media watchers.
