Across Tamil Nadu, Hindu outfits have been riled by Vijay Sethupathi for his 'offensive' comment on Hindu gods which he made in a television programme. Complaints have been made in Chennai and Tiruchi with the local police on the video which is viral already, asking them to intervene and take action.
One of the office bearers of Sethupathi's Fans Association by name Kumaran has as a counter move appealed to the cybercrime authorities to remove the said video as it has inadvertently hurt the sentiments of the public.
Terming the comment as a casual one without any malice, the fans are unhappy that it has produced violent responses from many who have even made offensive comments on the star's family members, which was regrettable. Kumaran also said that the star enjoys great popularity and goodwill which is being damaged with this development.
