The Telugu film industry is celebrating the birthday of legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao as Directors Day from last year. They celebrated the occasion the other day in Hyderabad for which Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Raghavendra Rao have attended as the chief guests.
Chiru has launched the website of the association, 'TFDA.in' and later donated Rs. 25 lakhs for the welfare of the association. Director Raghavendra Rao, along with Baahubali producers Shobu and Prasad, donated Rs. 25 lakhs and ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli has donated Rs. 50 lakhs from his side.
Overall, the association got an amount of Rs. 1 crore from these bigwigs. This money will be used for the welfare of the directors who are not working actively these days. Association's president N. Shakar has presided the event. Various directors like Harish Shankar, Anil Ravipudi, Venkatesh Maha, Venu Udugula, VN Aditya and Venky Kudumula have attended the event.
