Tollywood: With the theatres not going to get re-opened anytime soon, the audiences are looking at digital platforms. It is tough for the streaming platforms to launch new films once in a while. As per the buzz, Aha and Zee5 are focusing more on Telugu market.
The buzz is that the streaming platforms offer 'Pay per View' plan to the producers with 50-50 share basis. For every view, the revenue that gets generated will be shared half between the platform and the producer. Many small budgeted flicks will get benefited by this.
On the other side, we hear that Aha has grabbed the rights for almost 20 films and they will be out one by one soon in the coming weeks. Let us hope that good and engaging content comes out on the platform.
