Complaint against Falaknuma Das
A complaint was filed by a member of Shia Community at Mir Chowk Police Station against director, producer and entire cast of upcoming movie, ‘Falaknuma Das,’ which is being released on May 31, for disrespecting religious sentiments by showing religious structure (Dome-Roza-e-Mubarak) of Maula Ali in the background.
Mir Chowk: A complaint was filed by a member of Shia Community at Mir Chowk Police Station against director, producer and entire cast of upcoming movie, 'Falaknuma Das,' which is being released on May 31, for disrespecting religious sentiments by showing religious structure (Dome-Roza-e-Mubarak) of Maula Ali in the background.
In a complaint submitted to Inspector of Police Mir Chowk, Mir Qasim Ali, a businessman, stated that he had decided to approach police and lodge a complaint, as he found that the movie makers were using the religious structure in a disrespectful way. "I belong to Shia community and the follower of Maula Ali with utmost respect and care. This kind of act hurts not only me, but also the entire Shia community," he stated.
Qasim Ali wrote in his complaint that director Vishwak Sen, producer Karate Raju, Chelapally Sandeep, Manoj Kumar, Kotakar (Media 9 Manoj) and the entire cast of the movie used religious structure (Dome-Roze-e-Mubarak) of Maula Ali in the movie banners and promotional posters, and the same was pasted in various places without any respect for the religious sentiments. Due to the act, the entire Shia community felt hurt and hence condemns the illegal and awkward acts of all those who are responsible for this.
Qasim Ali pointed out that the entire Shia community condemned the act of the movie makers and urged the police department to immediately stop the release of the movie, and ban the movie for hurting the religious sentiments and playing with the feelings of entire Shia community. He also requested the authorities to look into the matter and take stern action against the persons involved in this.
