Jr NTR look-alike raring to meet him
Shaminder Singh, a 26-year-old native of Bathinda, Punjab, is gaining a lot of attention for his uncanny resemblance to Tollywood super star Jr NTR. Fans are shocked by the similarity and many mistook Singh for the actor himself in a few photos.
Hyderabad: Shaminder Singh, a 26-year-old native of Bathinda, Punjab, is gaining a lot of attention for his uncanny resemblance to Tollywood super star Jr NTR. Fans are shocked by the similarity and many mistook Singh for the actor himself in a few photos.
Speaking to The Hans India from Punjab, Shaminder Singh, who hails from a Sikh family, said he first discovered his resemblance to the actor when he cut his hair after forgoing the traditional Sikh turban.
"My classmate was the first to say I looked like Tarak and since then, a lot of people said the same, so I searched him up on the internet and was shocked myself."
Though the Punjabi man cannot understand or speak Telugu, he claims he's a fan of the South India superstar and very much wants to meet him. Shaminder also actively posts videos of him acting out the superstar's dialogues on TikTok app and fans are praising him for his acting; which they claim is reminiscent of Jr NTR's.
He is slowly becoming a sensation as he has managed to garner around 77,000 followers on the app. He has also regularly been tagging Jr NTR in his videos on Twitter in hopes of being noticed but so far, his efforts have been in vain. On being asked why he doesn't come down to Hyderabad himself to meet the actor, he says he cannot travel to here alone when he doesn't even speak Telugu.
He also expresses concern that he might get mobbed due to his resemblance to the actor. However, for now, he considers himself a lucky person for twinning with the famous actor and continues his efforts in trying to get acknowledged by him.
