He earlier produced Kumari 21 F and a couple of other films with his associates. Even now, he is producing Uppena and an upcoming film 18 Pages. The buzz is that he recommended Uppena director Buchi Babu to his Rangasthalam actor Ram Charan.
Uppena was supposed to release by now but it got postponed because of the lockdown. Buchi Babu wanted to team up with a star hero, once he wrapped up the movie Upepna and Sukumar are now helping the young filmmaker.
Buchi narrated the story to Ram Charan who liked it immensely. Ram Charan also watched the film Uppena marking the debut of his cousin Vaishnav Tej. Charan promised to do a film with Buchi Babu after wrapping up his prior commitments, which has become the talk of the town now.
