Tollywood: Among the families which are totally involved in cinema across south India, the family of K V Vijayendra Prasad comprising son SS Rajamouli, grandson S S Karthikeya and daughter-in-law Rama would definitely be a noteworthy one. A film screenwriter and director of long-standing, Vijayendra Prasad's career was relatively understated till 2009, the first two decades so to speak. From 'Magadheera' in 2009 to the Baahubali franchise, not to speak of Salman Khan's mega hit ' Bajrangi Bhaijaan' he has raced to the big league in the past decade. The Kangana Ranaut starrer ' Manikarnika' was another major success which added to his reputation.
As he turns 78 on Wednesday, Vijayendra Prasad is currently busy with two noteworthy projects – RRR being helmed by his son and ' Thalaivi', the biopic of J Jayalalithaa, the heroine-turned- chief minister of Tamil Nadu, being enacted onscreen by Kangana.
