No doubt, the stocks of hotshot Varun Tej are soaring high these days. After blockbusters like 'Tholi Prema' and 'F2', the 'Fidaa' star is reportedly demanding Rs 6.5 crore per film and producers are willing to dig deep into their pockets.
"Varun Tej is the new sensation of sorts and has become a bankable star. He is quoting Rs 6.5 crore per film and raced ahead of his arch rivals," says an industry source.
"Varun is one of the few actors who could fit into a lover boy, action or fun-centric role with ease. He is also working hard on his looks to fit into roles, showcasing his commitment and professionalism," adds the source.
Despite a dud like 'Antariksham', the son of actor Naga Babu is game for variety and choosing different scripts. "Except for Varun Tej, no one would be a donning a dark role, at this stage of his happening career.
He has gone in for a complete makeover for 'Valimiki',"the source points out. "He is going play a boxer and underwent training to land punches on his opponents in boxing ring. We rarely see such dedicated stars," the source concludes.
With his kin Ram Charan and Allu Arjun making waves with their larger-than-life roles, Varun is also catching up and bound to give them a tough fight in the days to come.
