The much talked about OTT Kollywood release "Soorarai Pottru" which is based on the life story of Captain G R Gopinath of Karnataka has been receiving lots of appreciation from viewers, critics and fans alike.

The movie which was released in Kannada version too on the OTT, has been lauded by Karnataka's internal security ADGP Bhaskar Rao. The IPS Officer who watched the movie has showered praises on the movie. "I watched the movie Soorarai Pottru which is based on the book "Simply Fly", the life Story of Captain G R Gopinath. I suggest the present day youth watch this movie to learn how to realise impossible dreams. Suriya's performance and acting as young Gopinath in this movie is very good. Director Sudha Kongara has done a great job of it. The Hindi version of this movie is being exhibited very well. The entire nation has to see this movie. This character sets an example for the youths of our Nation."
Even the real hero Gopinath has uttered words of appreciation about the movie. "Soorarai Pottru" has succeeded in extracting the real essence of the book. It was really a rollercoaster ride for me while watching the movie," said Gopinath.
Telugu stars Mahesh Babu and Vijay Devarakonda too have showered their high praises on this movie. "What an inspiring movie is Soorarai Pottru. Amazing direction. Amazing acting by Suriya. Shine on brother, my congratulations to the entire team' thus had stated Mahesh Babu.
Vijay Devarakonda who recently watched the movie along with his friends has said that three of his friends were in tears after watching the movie and adds that he got enraged while watching a couple of scenes in the movie. Devarakonda in a series of tweets has also praised the acting of Suriya and Aparna stating that it was marvellous and has appreciated the team for selecting Sudha Kongara as the director. The actor also has appreciated the camera work and Music in the movie.
Among all that he posted, what caught our attention was Vijay Deverakonda promising to work with Sudha Kongara soon. Vijay Deverakonda said, "Sudha kongara, I will work with you soon :) This is me professing my admiration for you as a director."
