Implementing 6G, winning LS holds key for Revanth

Though the Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is revving up and started well, the biggest challenge before him is to implement the 6G in next 50 days and to continue the winning streak in the Lok Sabha elections which is going to be not so easy. That is one of the reasons why Congress wants to make either Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi contest from Telangana. It would give a new boost to the party and certainly it will help the Congress in diverting the attack from the opposition BRS which is at present a wounded tiger.
The interesting aspect is that the while the Congress wants to demonstrate its strength in North Telangana, the pink party wants to make inroads in South Telangana where it suffered badly in the recently held Assembly elections. It wants to blow the poll bugle from Nalgonda. But then it should understand that this area is being represented by two strong leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy. Similarly, constituencies like Khammam, Mahabubnagar etc are represented by strong leaders like Jupally Krishna Rao, Ponguleti Srinivasa Rao and Tummala Nageswara Rao. BRS may show chappals to Revanth, KCR may call him bacha but what the pink party should understand is that it was this bacha who had lead the grand old party to victory and cannot be underestimated.
Not just that, the Congress in a strategic move is implementing its 6G promises in a phased manner so that people would stand by the party during Lok Sabha elections. It has rolled out some populist schemes like free bus travel for women, gas cylinder for Rs 500 and free power up to 200 units for poorer sections would be launched soon.
Revanth has adopted twin policy. At the political level, in tune with the Congress party he will criticise the policies of Modi but when it comes to administration will not adopt confrontation with centre.
On the other hand the BRS which could not digest losing power is earning a bad name by making statements that this government will fall in six months. The statement of YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy in Rajya Sabha on Monday saying that the Congress government in Telangana was in tatters and would collapse soon has sent a negative message among the voters. It shows that the BRS, YSRCP are hand in glove and want to pull down the Congress government in Telangana.
This has led to speculations that even BJP would extend a helping hand after the Lok Sabha elections are over. BJP might first target Karnataka government if it wins good number of Lok Sabha seats and then it may try re-enact Maharashtra type drama in Telangana.
But then these parties should understand that Congress at central level is a grand old party with old mind set but Revanth is not so. He is a young man who has mastered the art of politics over a period of time. He understands the pulse of the people. There is every possibility that the Telangana Congress may intensify its efforts to poach BRS sitting MLAs which could cause serious damage to the pink party. On Tuesday the Congress had succeeded in netting a big fish BRS MP from Telangana’s Peddapalli constituency, Venkatesh Netha Borlakunta, along with BRS leader Manne Jeevan Reddy. Both are eyeing Congress ticket.
There are some more who are said to be negotiating with the Congress party and even some of the sitting BRS MLAs may also cross over to the ruling party. Hence the BRS has to try and recover at least some of its lost ground and also protect its own flock. Whatever it may be there is going to be lot of political buzz from second week of February and lot of fireworks from public platforms are assured between the two parties BRS and Congress as KCR would launch his intensive poll campaign from next week. The problem is complicated because of the bad financial conditions of the State.
