From walking the ramp, winning and judging pageants to grooming models, it has been one long journey for Visakhapatnam-based Valentina Mishra in the fashion world

Fashion shows and ramp walks faced rough weather on and off, in Andhra Pradesh;Valentina Mishra from Visakhapatnam has been a part of fashion industry for the last 18 years and with many ups and downs in the industry, she continued to be a coach for the beauty pageants in India and Asia.

Apart from grooming beauty pageant contestants, she has also acted in some television commercials.

Speaking to the Womenia, Valentina narrated the long journey in the fashion world and how she rose to prominence as a model groomer after her protégés performed well in the Little Miss and Master Odisha (International) 2018.

She said fashion industry jobs are not as easy as it is made out to be. It is not only important to have basic knowledge of the profession; one must learn how to handle a viva-voce test and public speaking and look cool in front of cameras.

In addition to aspiring models, she also used to groom children from early ages (5 years) for their better participation in the fashion Industry.

Currently busy with training the aspirants for Miss Queen of India and Miss Asia, she has been a part of kids' cultural festivals held in different parts of the world, including 'Little Miss & Master Galaxy' and 'Little Miss & Master United World' among others.

In the early part of her career, she won many titles at fashion shows, the last one being Mrs Asia India International World held in Kuala Lumpur in 2015.

She said that her parents Sarla and RD Mishra, were very supportive and encouraging. A wife, a mother of two children, Valentina Mishra is adept in juggling roles with ease.

She has walked the ramp at fashion shows besides being a good classical dancer.

Born in Madhya Pradesh and brought up in Visakhapatnam, Valentina did her schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Malkapuram, and completed her graduation in Gayatri Vidya Parishad Degree College.

She is President Asia for Grand Sea World, National Director of India for Mr& Miss Planet, Future Fashion Faces to name a few.

She has been awarded the best national Director at Sofia, Bulgaria for Mr & Miss Grand Sea World for 2017 and 2018 consequently.

Sheaid she had groomed girls from 40 countries for Miss Glam World, which was held in April 2018, and was also a part of international jury.

She has travelled to many countries,as a judge for different pageants around the world.

She shared, "Beauty is skin deep. I am very health conscious and prefer to keep my weight in check.

Women have to eat right and should take good care of themselves.

In addition to this, I spend quality 'me-time' by engaging in a few things like meditation, dance, or reading, exercise or listening to music."

She recommended this simple technique for every woman as it works wonders.
