Fresher's Day at GITAM School of Pharmacy
GITAM School of Pharmacy organised Fresher’s Day for the B. Pharm first year students, in the institute premises on Thursday.
Hyderabad: GITAM School of Pharmacy organised Fresher's Day for the B. Pharm first year students, in the institute premises on Thursday.
The chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Reshma Srilakshmi, Post-doctoral research fellow, Karolinska Institute, Sweden. The other guests were DVVSR Varma, Resident Director, GITAM, Hyderabad and Professor Y. Lakshman Kumar, Dean & Director, GITAM Hyderabad Business School.
DVVSR Varma and Professor Y. Lakshman Kumar welcomed the new batch of students and wished them good luck for their future. They also appreciated the senior batch students for organising the event.
Chief guest, Dr. Reshma, who is also an alumnus of GITAM Vizag campus, interacted with the new batch of students and told them about the importance of the course of pharmacy and its importance in the society. Earlier, Dr. G. Shiv Kumar, Principal, School of Pharmacy, in his welcome address, introduced the chief guest.
This was followed by various cultural activities, games and ramp walk shows performed by the students.
In the event, Roopak Kumar Paul and Ankita Singh of B. Pharm first year were declared as Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher respectively. All the faculty members of the institute, Principals and heads of departments of the university attended the program.
