GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad B.Tech students started agriculture farming activity at its campus on Tuesday. Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers jointly adopted about three acres of land and are going to cultivate organic vegetables like Brinjal, Tomato, Green Mirchi and Ladies fingers.

Hyderabad: GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad B.Tech students started agriculture farming activity at its campus on Tuesday. Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers jointly adopted about three acres of land and are going to cultivate organic vegetables like Brinjal, Tomato, Green Mirchi and Ladies fingers.

First of all, they have divided the land in small extents and planted the sapling and seeds. By this activity the students learn about the wide scope of agriculture, explore the variety of agricultural products in their daily lives, and discuss the difference between needs and wants.

Hemaraj, Dr. P.V. Nagendrakumar also took part in the inauguration of farming activity.
