A spectacular career fair was organised at DPS Nacharam on Saturday to create an awareness among the students and parents about the varied career options available to them after grade XII so that they can make an informed choice.

Hyderabad: A spectacular career fair was organised at DPS Nacharam on Saturday to create an awareness among the students and parents about the varied career options available to them after grade XII so that they can make an informed choice. The Chairman M. Komaraiah declared the fair open along with the chief guest Subramanyam of IIT Hyderabad. His motivational speech about emerging careers and how to plan for the future struck the right cord with the students.

Forty elite institutions participated in the fair with career talks by eminent speakers like Yogeeshwari from BITS, Hyderabad on Science Careers, .Amarnath of LIFE Foundation on Career Planning, Nirupama Das from Valmiki group on overseas education and Rameswar CEO, from Skill Monks. Over 2000 students and 300 parents of grade X, XI and XII attended the fair. Information about off beat careers like animation, moviemaking, flying, legal and fashion designing was also part of the event.

Students could take back loads of brochures and pamphlets of the institutions with subjects of their choice. The students and especially the parents were extremely appreciative of the efforts made by the school to help them in the process of decision making.

The educational fair was one of its kind wherein information of all streams and career choices was offered to the students on a single platter. The event was organised successfully under the guidance of the Principal Sunitha Rao, the Vice Principal Nandita Sunkara and Health and Wellness Department. Vanadana, Career Counselor, coordinated with the different universities to ensure their presence.
