Hyderabad: The Bayer-RVJ School of Agriculture celebrated its 21st Convocation Ceremony. Bayer - RVJ School of Agriculture has been consistently contributing towards the development of scientific farming and creating a talent pool of skilled agricultural professionals. "Agriculture is changing due to change in climatic and soil conditions and many other challenges are emerging every day. Today technological advancement and data based famr intervention are playing key roles in agriculture. Many of the young minds are coming up with various innovative and cost effective solutions to further improve farming in general and farmers' income levels in particulars in best possible ways. Innovation is the key to meet future challenges, and such innovation are very much needed to suite our farming pattern," said Venkateswara Rao Yadlapalli,Editor, Rythunestham

He further added, 'Institutions like Bayer - RVJ School of Agriculture is perfect place for young farmers to learn hands on farming and put practice. Such institution boost and nurture science education, facilitate scientific innovation and training of our sustainable agricultural solutions.'

Achyuta Rama Prasad-Chairman, Advisory Committee, DRNVJIRD, Dr. P. Arjuna Rao, Director, DRNVJIRD and Bayer-RVJ School of Agriculture, Nekkanti Subbarao, Progressive Farmer and other Board members of Bayer- RVJ School of Agriculture also spoke at the occasion.

"This course provided very resourceful and practical learning. We are fortunate to get practical experience at Bayer-RVJ School. It is truly an enriching for us to learn under experienced teachers here," said, S Sowjanya, from Kaikaram Village, West Godavari District, who won the

'Best Trainee in Academic Performance Award'. The other winners were E. Kumar from Shankapur Village, Medak District won the 'Best Trainee in Crop Production' and B Swathi from Vemunur village, Mahabubabad district won the 'Best Trainee Award' in Attendance in the final examination.

The School is an initiative of the Child Care Programme, the first-of-its-kind social intervention model developed and successfully implemented with a farm-based supply chain that aims at getting children off the fields of contract farmers and into the school. Bayer – RVJ School of Agriculture was established as a part of Bayer CropScience overarching umbrella 'Learning for Life' strategy to foster (science) education globally as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. Since its inception, more than 550 students have graduated from the school including the current batch.
