Young advocates advised to adapt to court ambience
The ICFAI Law School of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education a Deemed to-be-University, Hyderabad in collaboration with Bar Council for Telangana State organised a two-day, Residential Orientation Programme the “LawVis-2019” for young Advocates of Telangana State on May 4-5, at the University Campus, Shankerpally Road.
Hyderabad: The ICFAI Law School of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education a Deemed to-be-University, Hyderabad in collaboration with Bar Council for Telangana State organised a two-day, Residential Orientation Programme the "LawVis-2019" for young Advocates of Telangana State on May 4-5, at the University Campus, Shankerpally Road. About 100 practising Advocates from the twin cities and other places of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated in the programme.
The inaugural session was attended by the Chief Guest Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Acting Chief Justice High Court of Judicature at Telangana, Guest of Honour, A Narsimha Reddy, Chairman Bar Council of Telangana, Prof J Mahender Reddy, Vice Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad.
Chief Guest for the inaugural session Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Acting Chief Justice High Court of Judicature at Telangana, lauded ICFAI Law School initiative to conduct for this training programme for the welfare of the young advocates. He also shared his professional experience from the days of his practice and gave tips to new advocates on how to interact with clients, draft the petitions and applications and preparation for cross examination. Most importantly he emphasised the advocates to mould their pleading according to the ambience of the court.
A Narasimha Reddy, Chairman Bar Council of Telangana said that Bar Council needs more advocates and a greater number of students passing out from the Law School should take up practice and join the legal profession. He also expressed that young advocates should have more seriousness, and dedication towards the profession.
Prof Mahender Reddy in his inaugural address explained the objective of the LawV is programme and emphasised incorporating the latest and contemporary developments in the legal profession in accordance with the changing facets of law besides up keeping professional standards and ethics.
