Bakrid festival symbolises the spirit of sacrifice and supreme devotion: Governor
Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has extended her heartiest wishes and greetings on the auspicious occasion of Bakrid festival.
“The Bakrid festival symbolises the spirit of sacrifice and supreme devotion. The Bakrid festival also has a special place in the Islamic faith and it marks the spirit of sharing and charity with great reverence and helping the needy,” the Governor said in her message.
The Governor hoped that the celebration of this festival further strengthens the spirit of brotherhood, service, and sacrifice. The celebration of Bakrid in true spirit promotes peace, harmony, cooperation, compassion, and amity in society. “I wish you all a very happy Bakrid and appeal to you all to celebrate the festival in a happy and safe manner by adhering to COVID-appropriate behaviour. Eid Mubarak,” she said.

CM KCR greets people on first Ekadasi
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has greeted the Telangana people on the occasion of the first Ekadasi.
The Chief Minister said the first (Toli) Ekadasi is the first festival, which heralds other festivals in the year to fill happiness among the lives of Telangana people. "The Telangana people call it Toli Ekadasi and the festival should provide good health, long life and bring in all the auspicious events to people in the State," the CM said.

TS Govt relieves IPS officer Praveen Kumar
The Telangana Government on Tuesday issued orders relieving IPS officer Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar who had applied for voluntary retirement.
The orders were issued by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar stating that Dr. Praveen Kumar has been relieved from his duties with effect from Tuesday (20th July). He was presently serving as Secretary of TSWREIS.
Special Secretary (Finance Department) Ronald Rose has been placed in Full Additional Charge of the post of the Secretary, TSWREIS until further orders.

TTD releases Rs. 300 Darshan tickets for the month of August
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board has released Rs 300 darshan tickets for the August quota. TTD released tickets at 9 a.m. today.
