Bengaluru: DN Solutions’ Rs 600-crore manufacturing and research and development (R&D) facility at the Kundana General Industrial Area in Devanahalli taluk was inaugurated on Wednesday by Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, “The agreement with DN Solutions, a leading machine-tool manufacturer, was signed two years ago during my visit to Korea. It is a significant achievement that the manufacturing and R&D facilities have been completed within such a short period. It is particularly noteworthy that both facilities have been established at the same location.”

Karnataka accounts for 52% of India’s overall machine-tool production, he said, adding that this was one of the key reasons for DN Solutions choosing the State for its investment.

Industries Minister M.B. Patil said a dedicated industrial park for Korean companies would be developed in Karnataka on the lines of the Japan Tools Park. The Japan Tools Industrial Park established near Tumakuru has been successful, and a Korea Park would also be developed on the same model, he said. “The location of the park will be decided at a later stage,” he added. DN Solutions President Won Jong Kim gave a presentation on the company’s journey and growth.
