Musheerabad: BJYM city president Vinay Kumar has demanded the state government conduct an inquiry into Inter fiasco with a sitting judge. He was speaking at a protest in this regard at Dharna Chowk on Sunday. BJYM state president Bharath Goud and vice president Mahipal Reddy participated in the protest.

A large number of police were deployed at Dharna Chowk and police arrested the students as they approached the Dharna Chowk in a rally, saying that they had not taken permission for the protest.

The protesters raised slogans against the state government. Speaking after he was arrested, Vinay Kumar deplored the way the state government responded to the irregularities in Inter Board and demanded ex gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the family of each Inter student who committed suicide. The student leaders demanded immediate suspension of Inter Board secretary Ashok Kumar and resignation of education minister Jagadish Reddy.

They also demanded the arrest of head of Globarena which, they alleged, was responsible of deaths of students and the company be put in black list. They demanded an impartial enquiry into the entire fiasco by a sitting judge to remove apprehensions among students.

National secretary of BJYM Dasharath Raju, BJYM activists Shakthi, Vikki, Sandeep, Shivaji, Bhaskar, Anand, Ganga, Pradeep, Arun and others participated in the protest. The arrested students were shifted to Gandhi Nagar police station.
