Book, B for Ballot, released
A book, written by senior journalist Satish Chander, titled, ‘B for Ballot,’ was launched at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Tuesday.
Bagh Lingamapally: A book, written by senior journalist Satish Chander, titled, 'B for Ballot,' was launched at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Tuesday. The programme, organised by Indian Institute of Political Leadership, was attended by the Secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions, RS Praveen Kumar, and Telangana State Planning Board Secretary K Shiva Kumar Naidu.
BJP state secretary Kumar, Hyderabad Central University Professor Dr Sripathi Ramudu and others were also present on the occasion. Telangana Granthalaya Parishad chairman Ayachitham Sridhar presided over the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Kumar lauded Satish Chander for expressing his views without any prejudice or fear. Stressing the need for inculcating leadership qualities among children, he said that special training classes were being conducted to Gurukul students from Class 8. He said that Satish Chander was selected to train students, and that one of the students was selected for elocution competition held at Singapore, he said.
Praveen Kumar said that the book had analyzed the evolution of political slogans in India in the past three decades. Namaste Telangana editor Katta Shekhar Reddy said that Satish Chander raised political awareness among people through his columns. Andhra Pradesh Additional DG (CID) PV Sunil Kumar praised the book for its analytical insights.
