Hyderabad: A group of six youngsters – Vinay, Raghu, Ravi, Swathi, Anusha and Praveen like to hang out together but what gives them more happiness is when they are with kids. On weekends, the group takes orphans for outings.

In 2016, Vinay and Nivedhitha planned a day out with kids in Vishakhapatnam and the response was tremendous and it become an addiction to take out kids again and again. Majority of the friends live in Hyderabad, so it was natural that they started taking kids from the city of minarets out.

"We spend our free time with friends spending a few bucks and thus we claim a good time spent, but we tried taking orphans along with us. We are not a registered as an NGO, we are just group of friends spending time in a good way, by doing this we get a lot of inner satisfaction and overwhelming happiness, these dates are just planned when we have amount to spend weekends and the precious time spent with kids is more than anything in life." said Raghuram, an entrepreneur.

"There are many organizations which provides shelter and basic needs and we also have numerous donors who supports such orphanages. We as a team started Date a Kid (DAK) on a mission to spread million dollar smiles and happiness, we give our quality time to kids and spends whole day with them, we take their responsibility for one whole day and provides food and entertainment without any collection of funds from outside we group of MBA friends taking kids out for fun, we always share the expenses equally for every event, hardly would cost 50 thousand for a day," says Praveen, Sales Associate, Amazon.

DAK team inspires individuals to find some time for little hearts, spreading the wings of caged kids. A movie was plan was made considering it as one of best sources of happiness. Around 110 kids were taken out for a date in Hyderabad. Date plan includes breakfast, movie, lunch, snacks and much more which entertains kids.

Anusha, sharing her experience, states that, "the real joy and happiness of kids can be felt from their extreme valuable tears at the end of a day while they leave home. I connect much to the little hearts and it would be harder to bid goodbye after spending a day with them, this is the ultimate feeling which can't put in words, loved to be part of DAK and looking forward to have many more dates with many more kids throughout my life."

Ravi, who works in water resource department, says, "Every minute is precious and everyone in this universe deserves to spend those minutes sharing million-dollar smiles, I have spent many bucks in weekend parties, but nothing brought me great joy as dating a kid brought me. It is just not a team, we are just not friends, we are more than a family connecting new family every weekend."
