Candlelight rally calls for hanging of killers
Residents of Champapet, Krishnanagar Phase I, on Monday held a candlelight rally here demanding hanging of those involved in the recent gangrape and murder of Disha under Shadnagar police station limits.
L B Nagar: Residents of Champapet, Krishnanagar Phase I, on Monday held a candlelight rally here demanding hanging of those involved in the recent gangrape and murder of Disha under Shadnagar police station limits.
They called for introduction of stringent action against the offenders as was being given in foreign countries. The protestors decried security and facilities being given in the Cherlapally jail to the four accused, while neglecting safety to women by the police. They pointed out that following the incident girls/women were scared to come out of their houses, while expressing anxiety.
The participants in the rally expressed apprehension of the four offenders managing to secure bail, come out of jail and repeat crimes. Those who took part in the rally included Thurpunuri Danayya Goud, Jaypal Reddy, Janardhan Reddy. Narsimha Reddy, D Goud, Karunakar Reddy, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Ashok Reddy, Shankar and Sanjiv Reddy.
