Cantonment: Bad road makes travel miserable

Cantonment: Commuters travelling from Tirumalgiri to Karkhana are facing painful hardships on account of bad condition of roads, which are riddled with potholes, due to official apathy and contractors giving a go-by to quality during road-laying/repair works.

The commuters risking their lives dodging potholes and gravel are a common sight these days. The locals allege that the road condition has gone from bad to worse after the rains.

K Chaitanya, a regular commuter, shares, "The roads are in a very bad condition; bikes are skidding and many bikers are having back pain problems by commuting on the roads every day. Officials should repair the road and release us from the ordeal."
