Centenarian feted for paying I-T promptly

Masab Tank: A centenarian, Ansuya Devi (103), of Jubilee Hills, was felicitated on Wednesday by the Income Tax department officials for paying tax. As part of the 159th IT Day, Principal IT Chief Commissioner Shankaran and Deputy Commissioner Chandra Y Reddy visited her house and handed over the IT certificate to her.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandra Y Reddy stated that despite her age, Ansuya Devi had been regularly paying IT, thus becoming a participant in nation-building activities. She appealed to people to take Devi as a model and remit IT 'as a duty'.
