Corporator booked for trespassing lake Full Tank Level
Balapur police on Monday registered a case against the Chandrayangutta Corporator under various sections of IPC and Irrigation Act for allegedly ‘trespassing’ within Full Tank Level (FTL) area of Gurram Cheruvu of Balapur Mandal.
Balapur: Balapur police on Monday registered a case against the Chandrayangutta Corporator under various sections of IPC and Irrigation Act for allegedly 'trespassing' within Full Tank Level (FTL) area of Gurram Cheruvu of Balapur Mandal.
The police took up the investigation after registering a case under sections 447 (Punishment for Criminal Trespass), 427 (Mischief Causing) of IPC and Sections 48, 49, 50 of Irrigation Act, following a complaint given by Tehsildar of Balapur Mandal K Chandrashekhar Goud on April 25.
In the complaint, KC Goud wrote that some persons were filling the gravel in the night time and levelling the ground within the FTL area of Gurram Cheruvu of Balapur Mandal. On local enquiry, it has come to the notice of the police that one person named Abdul Wahab, along with one more person, has constructed a boundary wall and rented it to Rohingya refugees.
Abdul Kareem, a Rohingya muslim from Burma, is looking after the said boundary and running a Kirana shop in it and also constructed temporary huts in the boundary wall and kept 14 Rohingya families for rent.
