Speaking at the programme in PJTSAU, the founder and Chairman of Confederation of Horticulture Associations of India (CHAI) asked the scientists to bring to the notice of the government the optimum utilisation of water for irrigation purposes, so that a solution can be found by opening way for a healthy debate at the national level.
Dr Singh discussed the planned 3-day international convention being organised by his ASM Foundation in coordination with other organisations in May 2020, with University's Vice Chancellor, Dr V Praveen Rao and other officials. In this convention, the focus would be on optimum utilisation of water for irrigation purposes.
