Serilingampally: Former MLA Bikshpathi Yadav on Thursday lauded the services rendered to the weaker sections by social reformer Jyothirao Phule, who strove relentlessly for bettering their cause.
Addressing a gathering to mark Phule's anniversary, he referred to the reformer's efforts to provide education to the needy poor with the objective of uplifting them socially and also politically. Yadav paid tributes to Phule while remarking that his memory would last till the world existed.
"I have been inspired by Phule," the former MLA declared. Among those present were State Youth Congress vice-president Ravi Kumar Yadav, senior party leaders Vinod Rao, Lakshminarayana Goud, Rajesh Goud, Padma, Yellesh and Sitarama Raju.
